Why BrightSteps Was Founded
BrightSteps was established to provide high-quality, personalised English lessons for both ESL learners and school students. The focus is on developing strong reading, writing, and academic skills through well-planned, structured lessons. With years of teaching experience, Van delivers lessons that combine recognised academic materials with a clear, student-centred structure, helping learners build confidence while making consistent, measurable progress.
How We Teach
Lessons are tailored to each student’s level and goals, using trusted materials from Oxford University Press, Cambridge University Press, and National Geographic. These programmes provide a clear pathway for developing reading, writing, vocabulary, and critical thinking skills. Our Lead Tutor
Our lead tutor, Van, holds a Bachelor of Science with Honours (BSc) from Bangor University, UK, as well as an internationally accredited Level 5 TEFL Diploma. With several years of tutoring experience across a range of levels and abilities, Van has worked with learners worldwide through platforms such as Meet My Tutors.
Through BrightSteps, he delivers structured, personalised lessons that combine recognised academic materials with a clear, student-centred approach, supporting consistent progress in reading, writing, and overall academic skills.
